Cox Communications offers grants to fund innovative class and school projects

Cox Communications is once again inviting innovative schools and classes within the company’s service area to apply for a share of $50,000 worth of grants.

Cox Communications' Innovation in Education grant program posterThe Innovation in Education grant program was originally established in 2014 by the cable provider to support the innovative use of technology in K-12 education. Teachers and administrators are encouraged to submit an application on behalf of a class or school project that uses technology in support of STEAM education, competency-based learning, digital literacy or cyber citizenship (Internet safety).

A maximum of $5,000 per school will be awarded. Selection and funding amounts will be determined by a panel of judges based on several criteria, including ingenuity and educational need and impact.

Schools or classes located within Cox’s Orange County service area can apply here up until the Oct. 15 deadline. The winners will be announced in December.
