OCDE in 30 Seconds: ‘Tradition meets tomorrow’ at the Community Home Education Program, a.k.a. CHEP

OCDE’s Community Home Education Program, or CHEP, is an award-winning independent study program, offering free resources to parents who choose to educate their children at home.

CHEP currently serves about 600 students from transitional kindergarten through grade eight. Not only does the program provide home-schooling curriculum, it also offers the support of certificated educators — both to students and the adults who teach them.
