To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Orange County public schools have temporarily closed campuses to students. Here’s a look at the latest school closure timelines and grab-and-go meal schedules.

Anaheim Elementary School District

CAMPUSES CLOSED: Students will participate in distance learning for the remainder of the school year.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Open to all children 18 years and under. No paperwork or sign-ups necessary.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: All students ages 18 and under are eligible for meals even if they do not attend a BPSD school.

TIMES: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 am. to 12:30 p.m.

Capistrano Unified School District

CAMPUSES CLOSED: School campuses will be closed to students through May 1.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Open to any child 18 years and under regardless of what school they attend. CUSD will additionally provide a sack breakfast for the following morning, containing a bar or cereal cup with fruit and milk.

  • Monday: Meals will be provided for Monday and Tuesday.
  • Wednesday: Meals will be provided for Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Friday: Meals will be provided.

Cypress School District

CAMPUSES CLOSED: Students will participate in distance learning for the remainder of the school year.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Breakfast and lunch offered to all children 18 years and under. No sign-up required. May pick-up from any school.

TIMES: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

DISTRIBUTION DAYS:

  • March 23-27: Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. The meals provided on Monday will include meals for Monday and Tuesday, meals will be provided on Wednesday, meals provided on Thursday will include meals for Thursday and Friday.
  • Starting March 30: Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The meals provided on Monday will include meals for Monday and Tuesday, meals provided on Wednesday will include meals for Wednesday and Thursday and there will be meals provided on Friday.

Fountain Valley School District

CAMPUSES CLOSED: School campuses will be closed to students through April 17.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Lunch offered to all children under the age of 18 at three school sites starting March 18. Meals will be handed to cars.

TIMES: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • March 23 – 27: Monday through Thursday
  • Starting March 30: Monday through Friday

Fullerton Joint Union High School District

CAMPUSES CLOSED: Students will participate in distance learning for the remainder of the school year.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Breakfast and lunch are open to those who participate in the free and reduced lunch program.

TIMES: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

DISTRIBUTION DAYS: Monday through Friday

LOCATIONS: Available for pick-up in school cafeterias

 

Garden Grove Unified School District

CAMPUSES CLOSED: School campuses will be closed to students through April 3, followed by spring break through April 10.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Breakfast and lunch are offered two days a week to all children age 18 and under, as well as individuals with developmental disabilities who are age 21 and younger and enrolled in an institution or regional center program. Families will receive meals for Monday and Tuesday every Monday and meals for Wednesday through Friday every Wednesday.

TIMES: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

TIMES: Noon to 1 p.m.

Irvine Unified School District

CAMPUSES CLOSED: Students will participate in distance learning for the remainder of the school year.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Breakfast and lunch offered to all IUSD students.

TIMES: Times vary. See below.

DISTRIBUTION DAYS:

  • March 23-27: Breakfast and lunch will be available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • March 30 to April 3: Food service will not be available during spring break. However, IUSD has partnered with Families Forward, which offers a drive-through food pantry Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with non-perishable items each week. The pantry is located at 8 Thomas Drive in Irvine.
  • April 6 to May 1: Breakfast and lunch will be available Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The meals provided on Monday will include meals for Monday and Tuesday. Meals provided on Wednesday will include meals for Wednesday and Thursday, and there will be meals provided on Friday.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: Breakfast and lunch offered to students who qualify for free or reduced program. Each child can receive one breakfast and one lunch picked up at the same time each day.

TIMES: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

TIMES: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Students can pick up both breakfast and lunch at the same time.

Newport-Mesa Unified School District

CAMPUSES CLOSED: School campuses will be closed to students through May 29. Distance learning will continue while campuses are closed.

GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE: TUSD will distribute lunch and breakfast for the next morning — to all children under 18 at three different school sites from March 23 to May 1. Service is set up as a drive-thru style for pickup; however, walk-ups are accepted.

TIMES: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

DISTRIBUTION DAYS:

  • Monday
  • Tuesday: Students will receive four meals – two for the current day and two for the next day.
  • Thursday: Students will receive four meals – two for the current day and two for the next day.
