Educators, administrators and education professionals gathered last week for the California MTSS Professional Learning Institute in Anaheim, where keynote speaker Dr. Nadine Burke Harris encouraged attendees to recognize the transformative power of supportive relationships in helping students overcome adversity.
More than 460 Orange County student innovators submitted 206 prototypes designed to address real-world challenges as part of the annual ocMaker Challenge. Thirty-seven teams from 20 schools earned first- through third-place awards and 16 special awards presented before an audience of more than 300 attendees.
175 Orange County students will be recognized for their creative inventions at the OcMaker Challenge Awards Ceremony livestream hosted by OC Pathways on Tuesday, May 19.
