OCDE is accepting breakout session proposals and award nominations for the 2027 Orange County Counselor Symposium, set for Feb. 9 in Costa Mesa. The annual event will feature keynote speaker Steve Pemberton and recognize outstanding school counselors and advocates from across Orange County.
OCDE’s Language Services team will celebrate International Translation Day on Sept. 30 with a free event at PBS SoCal Studios featuring a studio tour, a presentation on the Family Math Initiative and a special appearance by Carl the Collector.
Inside the Outdoors will welcome students, families and community members to California Coastal Cleanup Day at Upper Newport Bay on Saturday, Sept. 19, where volunteers will assist with cleanup activities at the coastal wetland.
Nominations are open through Oct. 23 for the 2026-27 Orange County Music and Arts Administrators Awards, which recognize teachers, classified staff, administrators and arts advocates whose leadership has strengthened arts education across Orange County.
