For students at Pacific Drive Elementary School in Fullerton, the school day now begins with a side of breakfast. The Fullerton School District gives more than 600 students the opportunity to enjoy a free, nutritious morning meal right in their classrooms, thanks to the expanded Breakfast in the Classroom program. The initiative launched at Pacific Drive on Aug. 17, building on its introduction at Commonwealth Elementary during the 2023-24 school year and expansion to Richman Elementary the following year.
The OC Pathways Student Leadership Summit brought nearly 100 Orange County students together to connect with STEM professionals, learn from program alumni and build skills for future careers and leadership.
More than 460 Orange County student innovators submitted 206 prototypes designed to address real-world challenges as part of the annual ocMaker Challenge. Thirty-seven teams from 20 schools earned first- through third-place awards and 16 special awards presented before an audience of more than 300 attendees.
