Education, business and civic leaders will convene June 11 for The Power of Civic Literacy panel discussion hosted by OC Forum, featuring Orange County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stefan Bean, California National Civics Bee champion Arlo Fravien and other county officials.
Nearly 5,300 Orange County high school students earned the State Seal of Civic Engagement during the 2024–25 school year, according to recently released data from the California Department of Education.
OCDE will host the 2025 OC Civic Learning Institute on Oct. 7 and Oct. 14 in Costa Mesa. The two-day professional learning event is designed to help TK-12 educators expand student voice, civic engagement and readiness.
