Quick look: San Clemente High and Hoag have teamed up to open a newly renovated athletic training room designed to support the health, recovery and performance of student-athletes.
San Clemente High’s athletes just scored a major upgrade.
Thanks to a partnership with Hoag, the Tritons are now training and recovering in a newly renovated athletic training room that blends cutting-edge equipment with a fresh new look — all designed to keep student-athletes healthy, prepared and game-ready.
The state-of-the-art facility, officially unveiled on Monday, features new flooring, lighting, wall graphics, cabinetry and paint, along with upgraded taping stations, physical therapy tables and a high-tech compression therapy unit that uses cold and pressure to aid recovery. Fully stocked cabinets provide essential supplies to help athletic trainers support injury prevention and care.
Hoag helped design the space, saying it was part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to the health, safety and long-term success of the San Clemente community, student-athletes and their families. In July, Hoag opened a health center in San Clemente.
“The investment in our local athletes reflects Hoag’s commitment to the health, safety and long-term success of the San Clemente community,” said Robert T. Braithwaite, Hoag’s president and CEO.
Along with a ribbon cutting and guided tours of the modernized space, Monday’s ceremony featured remarks from school and community leaders celebrating the partnership.
“Hoag has proven time and again that they are a strong partner in our community,” said Capistrano Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Chris Brown. “We are grateful to their commitment to keeping our student-athletes healthy, strong and ready to compete.”
In addition to Brown and Hoag’s CEO, guests included CUSD Board President Lisa Davis, Principal Dr. Brad Baker, Athletics Director Matt Poston and Dr. Eugene Yim, medical director of Hoag Sports Medicine.
