In support of its vision that Orange County students will lead the nation in college and career readiness and success, OCDE is hosting multiple College and Career Discovery Fairs to help local students and families explore options for their post-secondary journeys.
Presented in collaboration with Cosi College Fairs and Strivescan, the three-day virtual event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 1 to 3:45 p.m. and on Wednesday, Oct. 20 and Thursday, Oct. 21 from 4 to 7:45 p.m.
The virtual fairs are open to all Orange County high school students, and attendees can register at: https://app.strivescan.com/registration.
With a focus on not only college but careers as well, the event offers opportunities for students to learn about more than 70 colleges and universities from over 30 different states and 10 countries, as well as engage with representatives on a variety of industry sectors. There will also be live breakout sessions covering topics such as admissions, tuition discounts, dual enrollment, financial aid and career chats.
The fairs are free to attend, and students and families can choose to participate in one, two or all three days. On each day of the fair, attendees will have the option to select sessions based on their own personal career and college interests. Once sessions are selected, students will have the opportunity to chat live with college representatives via a webinar-style interaction.
