Huntington Beach High School recently hosted the exhibit “Courage to Remember: The Holocaust 1933-1945.”
On loan from the Simon Wiesenthal Center, the travelling installation serves as both a tribute to the six million Jews — and millions of others — murdered by the Nazis between 1933 and 1945, and a warning that the root causes of the Holocaust persist.
Students got to view the exhibit in the Student Center throughout the week. On Wednesday, they also had an opportunity to listen to the powerful story of Holocaust survivor Bertie Lubinsky.
Watch our feature above to find out more, and hear a bit of Bertie’s story.
