Education and community leaders from across the county are invited to gather March 13 for the Orange County State of Education, a countywide convening focused on students, progress and the future of public education.
Hosted by OCDE and County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stefan Bean, the event will bring together leaders from education, government and the broader community to reflect on the latest student data, celebrate successes from local schools, and consider the challenges and opportunities shaping education today.
The Orange County State of Education will take place Friday, March 13, from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Valencia Ballroom at Hotel Zessa in Santa Ana. Attendees are asked to register in advance at link.ocde.us/state-of-education.
“This gathering is about creating space for leaders to come together around what the data is telling us, what’s working for students and where collaboration can help us move forward,” said Bean, who will deliver the keynote address. “It’s an opportunity to connect, learn from one another and stay focused on outcomes that matter most for students.”
The program will also include a special appearance by Adán Correa, known for his role on “Love on the Spectrum” (Netflix) and for his advocacy for the neurodivergent community. A local university student who grew up in Santa Ana, Correa brings a perspective shaped by his experiences in Orange County schools and his work to elevate inclusive conversations about education and belonging.
Appetizers and refreshments will be provided, with time built in for informal networking ahead of the program.
