Students in a new Advanced Live Broadcasting class at Los Alamitos High School put their skills to the test Sept. 4, producing the school’s first live varsity football broadcast run entirely by students.
Orange County students are invited to meet educator and commercial space traveler Aymette Medina Jorge and explore hands-on STEAM activities at STEAM Race to Space Day on Sept. 19. The free event will kick off the annual STEAM Race to Space Reading Challenge, which uses books, real-world experiences and student incentives to encourage reading and STEAM exploration.
High School Voter Education Weeks will take place Sept. 14 through Sept. 25, encouraging California students to learn about elections and eligible 16- and 17-year-olds to preregister to vote. Schools can also register for the statewide Student Mock Election set for Oct. 6.
