More than 40,000 seniors from Orange County’s public and private high schools are expected to receive their diplomas this spring. Graduation ceremonies have been taking place over the past few weeks, and will conclude later this month.
Among some of this year’s highlights are a 95-year-old military veteran who missed out on his 1942 graduation because of his deployment during World War II. He received his diploma Friday from Valencia High in Placentia. Also, actor Edward James Olmos gave Santa Ana High School’s graduation address two weeks ago.
