Even after more than 100 years teaching children, La Habra City School District continues to evolve.
The nine-campus district is reconfiguring, redesigning and revitalizing how it is educating students. The district is in the process of moving all it’s campuses from multiple grade spans to a more traditional transitional kindergarten to sixth-grade model.
Each school will also have its own unique focus, which will include dual-language immersion, science, technology, engineering, arts and math, or STEAM, and visual and performing arts. The campuses will still share one vision: preparing students for the 21st century, for college and to careers.
For our latest OC District Pulse, we caught up with La Habra Superintendent Dr. Joanne Culverhouse, who shares more on her district’s vision for the future.
