OCDE staff participates in California’s largest earthquake preparedness drill

The Orange County Department of Education was among a number of workplaces across the state to take part in the Great California ShakeOut this week. Our Media Services team documented the Oct. 15 drill — and added a little cinematic tension — for the brief video above.

The Great California ShakeOut was established to promote preparedness and proper techniques, including the drop, cover and hold on method. To learn more how to minimize injuries during an actual earthquake, check out the Great California Shakeout website and the ShakeOut Drill Manual for K-12 schools.
