The Orange County Business Council (OCBC) recently announced that Dr. Stefan Bean, Orange County superintendent of schools, has been named to its board of directors.
The selection underscores OCBC’s commitment to fostering economic growth in Orange County through educational development, among other initiatives.
“I am honored to have this community leader join our board of directors,” said Jeffrey Ball, president and CEO of OCBC. “His insights and talents will be invaluable for the Business Council as we continue to advance the economic development of the nation’s sixth most populous county with a focus on workforce, housing and infrastructure initiatives.”
Dr. Bean has spent the last 25 years improving school communities through his roles as a teacher, principal and school administrator. Appointed on June 12 as the 12th Orange County superintendent of schools, he now joins a board that represents diverse industries.
Founded in 1995, OCBC has partnered with key stakeholders — especially in government and education — across Orange County to promote economic success through pro-business solutions, educational initiatives, and advocacy for infrastructure investment and housing.
