Project Tomorrow wants to hear your thoughts on technology use in the classroom

Through Dec. 18, all K-12 students, parents and teachers can share their views on the role and use of technology for learning as part of the 13th annual Speak Up National Research Project.

Schools and districts can register to receive both their own survey data and the national data at no cost. These types of data can be useful in a number ways including grant writing, planning and annual reports to name a few. All participating schools will be able to view preliminary data on a weekly basis starting in November — with final results released in February 2016.

Since 2003, nearly four million students, educators and parents from more than 30,000 schools in all 50 states have participated in Speak Up. In fact, the top three overall participating school districts in the nation are from Orange County — the Newport-Mesa Unified School District, the Irvine Unified School District and the Fullerton Elementary School District.

Individual participation and responses are completely confidential, and the survey takes only about 20 minutes to complete. To participate in the survey, visit the Speak Up Survey website before Dec.18. And you can check out past national reports here.
