[Update on Oct. 10: The OCDE Newsroom just got word that this event has been postponed until later in the school year. We’ll let you know when a new date is announced.]

Inside the Outdoors and The Ecology Center are launching a new high school program that aims to raise awareness about water conservation and inspire students to develop creative solutions with their peers.

It’s called The Water Effect, and the public is invited to attend a call-to-action kick-off event from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Inside the Outdoors Rancho Soñado headquarters, located at 8755 Santiago Canyon Road, Silverado.

The event is geared toward high school students and will feature food, hands-on activities and discussions on how to get engaged in The Water Effect program. Students are encouraged to bring classmates, teammates and friends.

The Water Effect kick-off event is free but registration is required.

To register, call 714-708-3885 or email Inside the Outdoors with your name and school information. Check out the event flyer for more details.
