VIDEO: OCDE’s Child Care Services program helps parents subsidize cost of care

Need help caring for your child while you’re at work or school?

Among the many services offered by OCDE, the department’s Child Care Services program helps subsidize child care payments for eligible Orange County families.

The program is funded by the California Department of Education. Parents who qualify are encouraged to carefully select an independent provider, which would then enter into an agreement with OCDE.

In fact, parents can choose among family day care homes, license-exempt providers, center programs, school districts or sectarian care. The idea is to support settings that are in line with the values of each family. And the Child Care Services staff can further assist with information about parenting skills and community resources.
