VIDEO: This year’s OC STEM Student Showcase takes a hands-on — and minds-on — approach

The OC STEM Student Showcase, featuring some of the county’s top science, technology, engineering and math projects from grades K through 12, will be part of the Orange County CUE Tech Fest at Mendez Middle School in Santa Ana on Feb. 4.

But those who work at OCDE’s Costa Mesa campus got to see an impressive dress rehearsal on Jan. 18. In what’s become an annual tradition, participating students displayed their innovative creations in the board room and answered questions to prep for the main event. Our Media Services team was there and produced the brief video above.

OCDE has been spotlighting curriculum-aligned technology projects produced by local students since 2001. This year’s OC STEM Student Showcase promises to be even more hands-on than previous editions, with projects that encourage attendees to inquire, engage and interact. To learn more, visit the STEM Student Showcase website.
