OK, here’s another entry for the “We Wish This Were Around When We Were in High School” file. Teachers and students at Edison High School in the Huntington Beach Union High School District have created a unique space for hands-on STEM lessons and project-based learning.
It’s called the Edison Innovation Lab, and it’s enabling students to create, experiment and perform real-world research in such fields as biology, chemistry, physics and even robotics.
Or, as Edison teacher Marcos Cabrera says, “It’s a place for kids to do science instead of just studying science.”
