The start of the new school year is just a couple weeks away for a handful of Orange County school districts that begin classes at the beginning of August.
Students in Anaheim Elementary, Anaheim Union, Centralia, Cypress, Los Alamitos Unified and Savanna school districts all return to classes on Aug. 7 or 8.
Students at year-round an multi-track schools in Irvine and Anaheim started school earlier this month. But most of the nearly 500,000 public school student in the county still have a few more days to sleep in before the school year kicks off.
