School nurses from campuses across Orange County have teamed up with CHOC Children’s nursing team to provide some peace of mind for parents concerned about COVID-19.

We’re told dozens of nurses are manning CHOC’s new hotline at 1-844-GET-CHOC.

The service, which launched this week, is running live 24/7, giving parents a chance to ask questions about the virus and their children.

“The Orange County school nurses have been warmly welcomed into the CHOC family of medical professionals and are continuing to provide support to our students and families,” said Pamela Kahn, OCDE’s coordinator of Health and Wellness. “Our community will definitely benefit from this unique partnership of healthcare professionals.”
