Summer may feel like a long ways away, but now is the time for Orange County high school students to start thinking about what kinds of meaningful opportunities are available.
To that end, applications are open for Bank of America’s Student Leaders program, with a deadline of Jan. 15, 2025.
The program connects high school juniors and seniors with eight-week paid internships at local nonprofit organizations, offering practical work and life experience while addressing community needs. Participants will also attend an all-expenses-paid leadership summit in Washington, D.C., exploring how government, business and nonprofits collaborate to solve critical challenges.
For two decades, Student Leaders has been part of Bank of America’s efforts to promote youth employment and economic mobility, engaging more than 300 students annually from nearly 100 communities across the U.S., including Orange County. The company’s internships and leadership experiences aim to prepare civic-minded young people for success in the workforce.
A virtual information session will be held on Jan. 7 at 4 p.m. for interested students, parents and educators who register in advance. A replay will be available for 90 days after the event.
