Professionals perform at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts every day, but recently a group of Orange County elementary school students became the stars on that stage.
The Disney Musicals in Schools program selected four local schools to embark on a 17-week journey of preparing, practicing and performing musicals at their schools before joining forces at Segerstrom.
Disney contributed a $100,000 grant for this program, and at the final performance, the company surprised Segerstrom officials with an additional $60,000 to continue the program.
