The 35 Orange County 2020 California Distinguished and six National Blue Ribbon schools, along with all other honorees from across the state, were celebrated Monday at a ceremony at The Disneyland Resort.
State Superintendent Tony Thurmond led a celebration of this year’s recipients of the top state and national prizes for educational achievement for individual campuses.
Principals, superintendents, teachers and parents from each of the schools attended a gala that honored these schools. Mickey and Minnie Mouse even made a special appearance to snap some photos with attendees.
California Distinguished School winners were announced in December, while national Blue Ribbon winners were named in September.
Here are some Twitter posts from staff and parents from some of our local schools from Monday’s event.
